70th birthday card

I was asked yesterday to make a 70th birthday card for one of our CWA of NSW branch members.  So I flicked through our Stampin' Up! catalogue for some inspiration and ended up coming up with this card.

With this card I used Pink Pirouette A4 Cardstock and matching ink pad for the background stamping.  The background stamp is from the same set as the bird and branch which is Best Birds Photopolymer Stamp Set.  I coloured the bird using the Aqua Painters and Pacific point ink pad, the image was stamped on Shimmery White cardstock and black memento ink the branch was stamped on Pear Pizzazz cardstock using the same ink.  The DSP is Whole Lot Of Lovely Designer Series Paper.  I punched a hole in the middle of the Pink Pirouette cardstock using the 2-1/4" (5.7 Cm) Circle Punch.  The other stamp set I used is the Number Of Years Photopolymer Stamp Set.  I used Berry Burst cardstock and ink for the 70 and cut it out using the Large Numbers Framelits Dies through the Big shot.

The best thing I ever bought was the magnetic platform. It helps keep your dies in place on the cardstock before running it through the big shot.  If you haven't got one I really suggest you look into getting one because they are great!!  How many times have you put a die over an image then put the top plate on only for it to move...so annoying, the magnetic plate helps prevent this from happening.

The stamped Happy Birthday and the 'th' is also from the Number of Years stamp.

Hope you like the card and if you would like to order anything or need help ordering just let me know, I'm only too happy to help.  Just click on the "Contact me" for more details.

'Til we craft again,

Donna
