Well I've had this card in my mind for a while now and has been sitting on my craft desk since I got back from On-stage partly made...meaning most things cut out ready.
It's not long now until the new catty comes out with this amazing stamp set in it. It's called "Animal Outing" and is a great stamp set for colouring in. With this kangaroo I have only lightly water coloured her in with basic grey ink and the cute little koala in her pocket with crumb cake ink. The balloons I used vellum, and coloured by dripping ink onto it then spraying with water then let dry. Once dry I adhered them onto the white cardstock. The DSP is Wood textures and the coloured cardstock is the new green called Call me Clover.
The kangaroo was stamped onto Shimmery White which is great for water colouring on and the large balloon is cut out of glitter paper to give it some sparkle! I used Linen thread for the balloon strings.

At the team meeting my up-line hosts we got to play with the retiring DSP and ways we can use it on cards.
These are what I made which are very simple and quick to make. Just using 2 different sized circle punches a stamp set and DSP (Designer series Paper).
While I was sitting there after I had made the top 3 I was looking at the left over smaller strips and remembered seeing someone weaving them so that's what I did, now all I need to do is put a sentiment on it and it's good to go.

Well some changes are happening with our catalogue and just wanted to keep you informed. Firstly we are having a BIG colour revamp with some beautiful colours you are going to love! Secondly as happens every year when the new catty is due to come out we have a retiring list so don't forget to check that out by clicking on the picture below...
AND thirdly......THE NEW CATTY COMES OUT 1ST JUNE!!! I know exciting right!! I can't wait to share it with you I just love the new stamp sets & colours and well...everything really!! On Saturday (7th) I was at our On stage local event for Stampin' Up! in Sydney, which is where we get a sneak preview of the new annual catalogue that is due out at the beginning of June!! It was amazing and you will just LOVE the new stamp sets that are in the new catty and the new colours are just gorgeous! I am sooo excited to share all of this with you when I can. But don't forget with the new Catty comes our retiring list...so keep a look out on the 10th April for the list!

When you don't have any foil DSP why not make your own that is very similar by using embossing powder. This is how it turns out.
The photo doesn't really do it justice but it looks pretty darn good. I used the Copper Embossing Powder on this one, I also did the corner of the sentiment bit of card, the Thank you and the leaf background.
