Wedding cake for Exploding box card

Hi Everyone!!  I thought I would give you a sneak preview of an exploding box card that my bestie asked me to make as she is going to a wedding.

What I'm about to show you is what I will be putting in the middle of the box.

I think it is quite sweet.... let me know what you think!

I have also put a touch of Wink of stella on the edges of the flowers but the photo doesn't really show it.  I will keep you posted with the rest of the card :)

Thank you card using Floral die

I had a play with sponging and I think it turned out quite good.  What do you think?
First of all I cut a piece of cardstock for the card front. Chose 3 colours.

I then started with the lightest colour and rubbed across the DSP cardstock using the sponge, the printed design doesn't take on the ink so it stays white.  The cardstock I used here is from the last catalogue but you can use the latest DSP cardstock from this catalogue...
I usually cut my sponge in 1/4's.

Then place the floral die on top of the sponged cardstock.
Run it through the bigshot.  You can see here I am using the magnetic plate but you can also use the precision plate which works a lot better with intricate dies like this one.

Precision Base Plate

I then used the fine tip glue pen (fantastic for intricate or small things) to adhere it to the card base.  But before I did I put wink of stella over the base to give it a winkle through the flowers.

I cut a separate small piece for the stamped image using versamark then heat embossed with copper embossing powder.

And of course finished off with a couple of rhinestones.

If you want any further details let me know :)

Happy Birthday with Floral die

Okay I had a day off today and only managed to make one card....I guess one is better than none :)
But I also managed to get the washing done and go to the hairdresser and get my hair cut and coloured...now that's important, can't go around with a wide strip of grey down the middle of my head :-/ Oh and a massage at the osteopath....that's always nice :)  Though who loves the head massage you get when you get your hair done?? I certainly do!!  I love it!  Just as much as I love card making!

This card I used a sponge to sponge some ink behind the Floral die cut, also added some wink of stella but you can't really see it in this picture.  What is a card without some diamontes??  So I added some to the flowers down in the corner.

If you click on any of the pictures above it will take you directly to my store if you wish to purchase any product I show.

The weekend is coming up...YAY! Hopefully I will get to stamp again

Happy Crafting everyone!

Baby Suit Card

I made this very simple card today which was quite easy to make.

I used the Every Occasion Clear-Mount Stamp Set and the
                               Baby Bear Photopolymer Stamp Set.
I fussy cut the baby suits put some whisper white bakers twine across the width, glued the baby suits onto the twine at equal intervals then stamped the sentiment from the Baby Bear stamp set at the bottom.
The following are what else I have used and the colours...

Hopefully I will get to play some more tomorrow :)

Elephant Baby Shower invites

Been asked to make some Baby Shower invites.  First of all decisions on colour.... (my photo editing skills aren't the best)

Ok colour chosen then I had to cut and assemble all the pieces and print onto the white card stock the details of the baby shower.

I think it's quite a cute invite. I can't wait to make my daughter some baby shower invites as I have been told I'm going to be a grandma!  I'm a little excited as I've been grandma clucky for a while now.

I also made a card in a similar design to the invite.....

The stamp set I used was the Baby Bear stamp set.
Quite a simple card but so cute I think.  This is all I have to share right now but now that I am going back to 3 days a week at work instead of full time I will have more time to craft!! YAY! Except when I'm CWA'ing (Country Womens Association) :)

Floral Phrases cards

I had a day off work today so I got to play a little bit, plus it is my mother-in-laws birthday today so of course I had to make a card for her :)

Then I kept going and made another card....
I used 2 different stamp sets for this card which were....

Floral phrases

Balloon Celabration

Then I used an embossing folder from a previous catalogue but this embossing folder, the Elegant Dots will work just as well...
